Introduction

If you are an active Army service member, you can apply for tuition assistance. Please find specific Army tutorial documents attached to this article below. The Army currently pays 100 percent of tuition, up to $250 per semester hour ($4,000 annually), in pursuit of approved degree programs.

Army students will utilize an online system for requesting tuition assistance through https://www.armyignited.army.mil/

Helpful steps

You will create an Education Plan that will need to be approved.

Please Note: Use one of the three options above, do NOT select Certificate Assistance (or CA) as this will not work for your CIAT program.

Your options for the TA Education Plan Request are:

  • Undergraduate Certificate
  • Associates Degree
  • Bachelors Degree

Once your Education Plan is approved, create the TAR (Tuition Assistance Request).

Once your TAR is approved, you should receive a voucher which you will send to CIAT. The application window is 60 calendar days prior to, and submitted 7 calendar days before, the term start date. If you have follow-up questions, your Admissions Advisor and Finance Team will be happy to assist you.

Apply for your next TAR at the end of your 1st week of class for each of the 4 classes annually. The same application window will be relevant for each application as listed above.
